Newsletter

The Waterpark newsletter goes out a few times a year. It covers new datasets added to the hub, changes to the S3 endpoint or the storage layout, and anything that would break existing notebooks.

How signing up works

It takes two steps, so nobody can put your address on the list without you:

1. You enter your address and we email you a confirmation link.
2. You are only added once you click that link. An address that is never confirmed receives nothing further.

If the link no longer works, sign up again and we will send a fresh one.

Leaving the list

Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click, with no login and no account. You can also write to waterpark@support.dkrz.de and we will take you off by hand.

If you would rather we deleted everything we hold about you instead of simply stopping the emails, say so and we will do that.

What we store

Your email address, and the times at which you signed up and confirmed. We also record the network address the confirmation came from, which is what lets us show that consent was given if we are ever asked.

Nothing is passed to third parties, and the list is never used for anything but this newsletter.

The newsletter service runs on DKRZ hardware. Your address does not leave DKRZ.
